MBU PC revives the 2006 Xbox Live Arcade classic Marble Blast Ultra with leaderboards, online multiplayer, new features, custom content, Discord support, and more.
We’re excited to announce the release of our Marble Blast Creation Pack for TrenchBroom, a cross-platform level editor for Quake engine games.
TrenchBroom is a total game-changer. It’s easy to use and is a major upgrade over older level editors, offering many simple and advanced tools for creating complex and interesting levels quicker and with ease.
For Marble Blast level creation, TrenchBroom is an excellent choice. However, if you’re looking to create perfectly smooth curves and rounded terrain like Polysoup, you should use Blender or other 3D modeling software. TrenchBroom is primarily designed for brush-based engines like Quake and isn’t intended for full-on 3D modeling.

We've also brought cut maps from Marble Blast Ultra such as Skate Park Square, Gravity Tower, and Battle Tetra. The original Marble City from launch is here too along with Polysoup from the MBU XNA demo shown at Microsoft's 2006 Gamefest.
marbleblastultra.com's been through a few different eras. Back in 2006 it was owned by GarageGames and was the official Marble Blast Ultra website, even though it never got any updates and mostly just sat there. In 2011 it changed hands and became a fansite with active forums and a small community. Different people took care of it over the years, and by 2013 the site was basically put on pause because the series faded out.
Fast‑forward to now, and things look a lot different. With the revival of the game on PC and all the interest around MBU PC, the community has started waking up again in a way none of us expected. We still haven't officially promoted MBU PC anywhere... no announcement, no push, nothing. Most of the old fanbase, tens of thousands of people, don't even know this project exists yet. The people who have found it stumbled into it on their own, and even that's been enough to bring the site back to life.
Whether you've been here since the Xbox 360 days or you're just discovering the game for the first time, the forums, Discord, and the whole MBU PC project exist because people never really stopped caring about this game.
Going forward, this site will serve as the official home for Marble Blast Ultra and its community. Everything related to the game, updates, downloads, leaderboards, and the community itself, will live here. It's the hub now, and it'll keep growing as more people find their way back ♡
